About Bryan

Hello Wichita. My name is Bryan Frye and I’m a lifelong Wichitan with deep roots in the community. I’ve lived south & north of Kellogg and east & west of the Canal Route. I’m a graduate of Wichita Southeast High School and Wichita State University with a B.A. in Marketing. I’m also a double boomerang, returning to Wichita the first time after my freshman year at KU and again after starting my career in Dallas, TX.

A firm belief in serving my city is what lead me to my current position as a Wichita City Councilmember. Throughout my career, I’ve volunteered for numerous non-profit groups helping to make things better for all. I currently serve as a board member at seven different organizations, deliver for Meals on Wheels, & ring bells for the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign.  Prior to being elected in 2015, I spent six years on my neighborhood homeowner’s association board of directors.

In addition to city council, I work for the Kansas Chamber as the Senior Director of Investor Relations and I’m a founding partner at a local technology company. Past career stops include being the marketing director for a distribution business and two different Wichita TV stations.

I’ve been married for 33 years to my wife Sheila & we have two children. My hobbies include spending time at the lake, cheering on the KC Chiefs and finding the perfect craft beer, locally brewed of course.
